D135:  A tenth-century Irishman encountered a Stegosaur

Edited by Greg Neyman

Argument:

A tenth-century Irishman is said to have encountered a stegosaur.  The original claim appears to come from Charles Sellier and Brian Russell in Ancient Secrets of the Bible.  It is said an Irish writer described a beast with iron nails on its tail and with thick legs and strong claws.

Response:

  1. No remains of this creature have ever been claimed or reported to exist

  2. As with any tale from hundreds of years ago, it is impossible to prove false, and even more impossible to prove true.  Using such old wives tales as proof of man and dinosaurs together is folly
