News to Know: Neanderthal Toe Said to Suggest an Incestuous Culture:  This article examines a scientific study that shows there was early human interbreeding and inbreeding.  It looks at bone that is about 50,000 years old.  Since YEC's don't accept such old dates, this article merely states that Neanderthals and any older humans in question are descended from Adam and Eve.  This has nothing to do with disproving the age of the bones in question, which is the real issue.  Instead of providing scientific evidence against their old age, AiG merely states "they affirm the picture of human history He provides us in the Bible."

Is Creation Apologetics a Problem?:  This is response to the feedback from a reader, who claims that CMI is too focused on side issues (trying to prove their interpretation of the Bible right) and CMI should focus on preaching Jesus.  Amen.

 

Broken Images:  This article looks at Genesis 1:27 (we are created in God's image).  Most of this article presents no problems for the old earth believer.  Near the end, the author claims that the image of God issue is a serious problem for Christians who believe in evolution.  Not really.  Her basis for claiming this is that we are not special (in God's image) if we evolved.  However, theistic evolution implies that God is involved in the process, thus even though evolution is involved, God still did it.

Duons: Parallel Gene Code Defies Evolution:  This article examines a previously hidden genetic code, and claims that it defies evolution.  However, science is an ongoing process...as new facts are discovered, theories are adjusted to account for them.  Scientists not having an answer for something (that is old) is not proof that the opposite is true (that the earth is young).
