Creation Science Watch

A Summary of YEC/OEC Website Activity

10 February 2014

Answers in Genesis

A Heavy Responsibility - A letter from Ken Ham, written prior to the debate with Bill Nye, with some of his thoughts on the debate.  AiG is trying to get as much publicity (i.e. donations) through this debate as they can.

The Bible Wins the Debate with Carbon-Dated Camel Bones - Decent article on the Fox News report on an apparent Bible contradiction.

Where's the Love? - I actually agree with AiG on this article.  Gracious words are best.

Does the Creation Model Make Predictions? Absolutely! - Not really, at least not like Ham claimed in his debate. For example, "evidence confirming a global flood."  There is absolutely none, unless you buy into the pseudoscience of YEC.  If you believe YEC, you will believe this article.

Creation Ministries International

Original Animal Protein in Fossils? - A soft tissue article.  Interestingly, the article is by Brian Thomas, who is the 'front-man,' or main article writer for the Institute for Creation Research.  Nothing new here.  Does soft tissue confirm a young earth?  Not at all. It does confirm that we don't know everything about how tissue is preserved over long periods of time.

What Was Adam's Sin? - Response to feedback from a previous article.

Box Jellyfish Eyes Surprise Scientists - God's created works often surprise scientists.  Does this mean that young earth creationism is true?  Nope.  This is merely a God of the Gaps article.

Institute for Creation Research

Cuneiform Reed-Ark Story Doesn't Float - A decent rebuttal to the claim that Noah's Ark was a disc-shaped vessel made of reeds.  No implications on the age of the earth.

Creation Today

Has a pre- and post-debate commentary video available for online viewing, with comments by numerous YEC theorists.

Old Earth Articles (the articles listed below may be pro-evolution, anti-evolution, gap theory, etc. Old Earth Ministries (OEM) strives to serve all forms of old earth belief)

The Body of Christ in Science, Part 1 - From the theistic evolution website BioLogos.

Scientific Upset: More Functions for Pseudogenes - From the progressive creationist website Reasons to Believe.

Old Earth Ministries Featured Article of the Day

Ark Study Flawed - Examines an AiG article on Noah's Ark

Did you know that you can be a Christian, and believe that the earth is billions of years old?  You can even believe in evolution and be a Christian.  There is no conflict between science and the Bible...all one needs is a proper understanding how to merge science and the Bible.  To learn more about old earth creationism, see Old Earth Belief, or check out the article Can You Be A Christian and Believe in an Old Earth?

Feel free to check out more of this website.  Our goal is to provide rebuttals to the bad science behind young earth creationism, and honor God by properly presenting His creation.
